After a long testing of the new office suite from Microsoft, the software giant has finally releases to the public the latest iteration of the product.

With more downloads as beta candidate than Windows 7, Office 2010 seems to be the choice for all-round users. You can compare the editions of Office 2010 here.

Unfortunately, there is no online store from Microsoft yet for Ireland, but you can source the product on other e-stores or, if you have purchased Office 2007 recently, you may be on cards for a free upgrade to Office 2010. Check the website of your software provider or ask in store.

Office 2010 is available for Windows and Mac users.

For business, you may consider the new Office Web Apps, the 'on clouds' version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and One Note from Microsoft. Office Web Apps are free for personal use already on SkyDrive.
