Tuesday, 20 April 2010 15:12

symantec-logo-300dpiOn the recently published Global Internet Security Threat Report by Symantec, USA is ranking #1, with a 19% overall of the global malicious attacks. This is a 4% less than last year, when United States achieve a 23% of the total malicious code activity. China is ranking #2, with 8%, 1% less than last year.

The big surprise is Brazil, the #3 on top ten; this could also be the reason for the proposal of a new cybercrime bill in the country.

The rest of the countries counting for the top are: Germany, India, UK, Russia, Poland, Italy and Spain.

As targets, the most affected institutions are: Financial, ISP, Retail and Insurance.
